A Meaningful Nikah Ceremony, Rooted in Faith and Conducted with Care
Imam Shariq is a registered marriage officiant in the Province of Ontario, with years of experience conducting Islamic Nikah ceremonies and completing the necessary provincial marriage registration requirements.
At Sakina Marriage, our goal is to ensure that your Nikah is not only Islamically meaningful, but also organized, professional, and memorable.
Pre-Ceremony Consultation
Before the ceremony, Imam Shariq meets with the couple to explain the Nikah process, review the requirements for both the Nikah and the marriage registration, answer questions, and ensure that both individuals understand the significance and responsibilities of entering into an Islamic marriage.
This meeting also includes a 30-minute marriage preparation session, offering practical guidance and reflections on building a healthy, compassionate, and lasting marriage.
Coordination Before the Ceremony
Imam Shariq arrives in advance of the ceremony to meet with the couple, witnesses, and the guardian. This ensures that everyone understands their role and that all necessary details have been confirmed before the Nikah begins.
Nikah Ceremony & Sermon
The ceremony includes the Islamic marriage contract and a meaningful, engaging, and culturally sensitive sermon, reflecting the sacred nature of marriage and offering guidance to the couple as they begin their life together.
Marriage Documentation
All required marriage documentation is carefully reviewed and completed, with the appropriate parties.
Provincial Registration
Following the ceremony, Sakina Marriage ensures that the required marriage documentation is submitted to the Government of Ontario in accordance with provincial requirements.
A Nikah is more than a ceremony—it is the beginning of a sacred covenant and a new chapter in the lives of the couple. Sakina Marriage is committed to making that beginning meaningful, dignified, and reflective of the values of Islam, while providing couples with the professionalism and peace of mind they deserve.
